The Mass will be a sung Mass, in Latin and in the Ordinary Form, with our Schola accompanying Father Jones. Mass for The Faithfully Departed (All Souls): November 2nd 2018
On 2 November at 7pm, Our Parochial Administrator, Father Mathew Jones, will celebrate Mass for the Faithfully Departed, at St Mary’s Church, on 155 State Street, in Corning, NY. The Mass will be in the Ordinary Form, Ad Orientum at the High Altar, with Latin Propers and Ordinary. It will be a sung Mass with our Schola accompanying Father Jones. First Friday Devotions: 5 October 2018
First Friday Devotions continue at St Mary’s Church, on 155 State Street, in Corning, NY. on 5 October at 7pm.
We will begin with the Rosary and then proceed to Compline and conclude with Eucharistic Exposition and Adoration. We will offer the Rosary for various intentions, and Compline will be presented in a mixed format of Latin for the general parts and the Psalms in English. It is our hope that participants will join in singing the Psalms as these are prayers to God worthy of joining together with the Angels in song of praise and supplication. Compline and Eucharistic Adoration will be accompanied by our Schola.
This will be our last time doing these devotions on a regular basis.
We are working with Father Jones, our Parochial Administrator, on what and when we are going to be doing something else in the future.
Right now, we have some events planned which the Schola will be taking part in, and the Latin Mass society is helping with planning. Hopefully we will get back to a regular monthly liturgical event (Devotions, Mass, etc.) but for right now. we are in between:
